Properties of black nickel plating

Black nickel has extremely low levels of corrosion resistance, ductility and strength of adhesion to the coated item, especially when deposited on steel. Therefore, prior to the deposition of black nickel sublayer deposition of copper or nickel is used, followed by polishing. Black nickel coating is most often used for brass products, the best results are obtained when these products are pre-coated with copper. Black nickel deposited directly on the iron adheres poorly, that’s why iron and steel products are previously coated with copper or nickel.

BS Series Chemical for black nickel plating

 

Chemical composition:Black nickel

Nickel chloride: 200 g/l
BS-1 black nickel salt: 100-150 g/l
BS-2 black nickel active add: 10 m/l.

Nickel plating is carried out at a temperature of 50 ℃ cathodic current density 0.1-0.5A / dm2.

Anode type: electrolytic nickel or carbon plates.

Specification: black uniform brightening coating.

Nickel plating may be carried out at ambient room temperature and a wide range of cathode current densities.

The best results are obtained by coating if the product is pre-coated by copper brass or nickel.

 

SNI-1 Series Chemical for alkaline black nickel-tin plating

 

Chemical composition:Black nickel

Nickel chloride: 200 g/l
BS-1 black nickel salt: 100-150 g/l
BS-2 black nickel active add: 10 m/l.

Nickel plating is carried out at a temperature of 50 ℃ cathodic current density 0.1-0.5A / dm2.

Anode type: electrolytic nickel or carbon plates.

Specification: Technology is environmentally friendly regarding the level of toxicity and does not harm the environment. Uniform black coating, resistant to corrosion. The best results are obtained by coating if the product is pre-coated by copper brass or nickel. Nickel plating may be carried out in a wide range of cathode current density in the galvanic drums. The electrolyte does not harm the surface of the baths.

 

SNI-АВ Series Chemical for acid black nickel-tin plating

 

Chemical composition:Black nickel

Nickel chloride: 250 g/l
Tin chloride: 10-50 g/l
Bifluorid ammonia: 50 g/l
SNI-А active add: 150-200 m/l
SNI-B active add: 10-20 m/l

Nickel plating is carried out at a temperature of 60-70 ℃ cathodic current density 0.5-1.0 A / dm2 and level of PH 4.0-4.6

Anode type: electrolytic nickel.

Specification: Uniform black coating, resistant to corrosion, chlorides and acids influence.

The coating has high hardness characteristics up to 500-700HV (Rockwell scale), does not require the use of wetting agents.

The best results are obtained by coating if the product is pre-coated by copper brass or nickel.

 

SCO-3# Series Chemical for black tin-cobalt plating

 

Chemical composition:Black nickel

Nickel chloride: 250 g/l
Tin chloride: 10-50 g/l
Bifluorid ammonia: 50 g/l
SNI-А active add: 150-200 m/l
SNI-B active add: 10-20 m/l

Nickel plating is carried out at a temperature of 60-70 ℃ cathodic current density 0.5-1.0 A / dm2 and level of PH 4.0-4.6

Anode type: electrolytic nickel.

Specification: plating process corresponds international quality standards of the EU.

Uniform coating of dark blue or black color has an aesthetic appearance. Chemical component has good dispersion properties and is suitable for surface treatment of blanks of different sizes and shapes.
